thought you'd love this

Dear Reader,

Today the one-year anniversary of restarting my writing journey, and I have exciting news to share with you.

Tree of Liberty (Bull Moose Book 2) is now available in audiobook, ebook, and print! You can purchase your copies from my shop or other great retailers here. Also, find a free preview download of this new release there.

One year ago, I sat down in my home office and cracked open a notebook containing a 20-year-old manuscript I had begun as a teacher in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. After three rewrites and tremendous editing, that manuscript became Bull Moose Book 1, which is now a five-time award-winning novel being read around the world!

Why You Should Read Tree of Liberty (Bull Moose Book 2)

Tree of Liberty begins just minutes after the exciting conclusion of Book 1. It is set over just 20 days in January 2045 and details four boiling political crises - a contested Speaker's Election, Presidential succession, the first Contingent Election in 120 years, and a growing American awakening in the streets of Washington, DC.

There are a host of thrilling new characters, including the conniving Rep. Pepper Thornhill of Tennessee, the retired military turned underground news magnate Andrew Lowell, and his new flame Taylor Mitchell. We also discover a mysterious associate of Ron Bender - an Israeli named Eitan Levi, who offers help to Piper and Lawrence in their hour of greatest need.

If you loved the fast-paced story of Book 1, you'll discover Book 2 moves even faster. There are fewer history lessons in Book 2, but there is exciting legislative theater, just like in The Senate Deception.

You'll likely love the larger role in the fate of the story that Ziggy plays. And you will love many of the Easter eggs throughout the book I plant for my superfans, such as references to The West Wing, Hamilton, and more!

And don't forget those unanswered questions from Book 1 - Who is the leak on the Piper campaign? Why does Marco Alvarez wish to be the President so badly? Is Marco truly in love with Olivia? What happened to Jessica Brown? And who is responsible for President Warner's demise?

Why You Might Read This Book During All the Real-World Turmoil

Several of my readers have reached out to me, troubled by the political turmoil and tumult that is on the news every day. Most tell me they read for escape and are not sure they can stomach a political thriller right now when it seems the world is suddenly cast into one.

I can relate. I have cut back on news consumption for a while. I read for escape, education, and entertainment. I promise you that you'll be entertained by the Bull Moose Series, and even though it shares terrifyingly plausible scenarios in its pages as well as echoes to the stormy present in which we live, it is sewn together by a ribbon of hope. Jackson Piper and Valerie Lawrence are genuine heroes you can admire and believe in without fear of disappointment.

To put it simply, in the Bull Moose series, the bad guys get what's coming to them, there are ideas about our potential future informed by our tumultuous present, and the good guys/gals give you a reason to cheer for them and keep reading.

And don't forget to check out the paperback bundle I just released - 32% off the retail price for all three books!

This week's words of inspiration come from a fellow poli-fi writer:

"If liberty means anything at all, it means the right to tell people what they do not want to hear."

Michael Fedor

Suspense and political thriller debut author Michael Fedor crafts thrilling stories of power, political maneauvers, and the human condition. After a twenty-year detour into politics, Michael Fedor has set his sights on his passion – storytelling. For his first independent speculative fiction novel, Michael dusted off a story he wrote but never published in 2004. Like a Jane Goodall of modern politics, he is using his observations and experiences to introduce a new political thriller series with the release of What it Takes to Kill a Bull Moose (Bull Moose Book 1) in March 2024.
